WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL DOG EXPERIENCE?
We've had foster dogs in our home and volunteered with a local rescue company.
WHO ARE YOUR PET(S), AND WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONALITIES?
Kaius (Kai) is a 3 year old german shepherd x border collie. He is so much fun! He loves meeting people and dogs. He is social, loyal, intelligent, and busy. He makes me laugh so much!
WHEN DID YOUR LOVE OF DOGS BEGIN?
When I was a kid I loved meeting dogs anywhere I could. My sister and I begged my parents for a dog but did not succeed until we were adults and got our own dogs. I remember caring about the well being of dogs as a kid when I first found out about animal rescues and that not all dogs had a safe place to call home.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT WORKING WITH DOGS?
Learning about their personality as well as their quirks. I love knowing that I’ll get to see them grow and learn while having fun! Seeing dogs succeed alongside their friends is so rewarding to me.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO WORK WITH DOGS?
I love seeing the different personalities of dogs and enjoy seeing dogs succeed in social activities and settings. I love meeting ALL the dogs I can and seeing the friendships that develop among dogs.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE BREED?
German shepherds without a doubt! I love most working breeds (cattle dogs, Dalmatians, border collies etc).
WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU IDENTIFY MOST WITH?
If I had to pick only one I would say a wolf. I love being a part of a team and spending time with others but I am also satisfied being on my own or a “lone wolf” when necessary. Wolves are loyal and protective of their pack, as I am with my loved ones.
