WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL DOG EXPERIENCE?
I have provided boarding services out of my home for about 7 years now and have loved being able to care for dogs while their families are away. It is so comforting to know that your pet is being well cared for when you have to go away. I love being able to provide that comfort to clients and build long lasting relationships with the dogs and their families. I am also certified in Pet First Aid to ensure your pets safety while they are staying with me.
WHO ARE YOUR PET(S), AND WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONALITIES?
Kosmo is my 7 year old mini Golden Doodle. He is the sweetest boy who loves to cuddle. He loves going on long hikes with my husband and I and is always happy to meet new dogs on the trails! Kosmo is very patient with other dogs which makes him the best companion for boarding dogs coming into our home. He is always willing to share his toys and even his favourite spot on the couch.
WHEN DID YOUR LOVE OF DOGS BEGIN?
My love for dogs began at a young age. We got our first family dog, Socks, a female Border Collie mix when I was 12. I knew from that point on that I always wanted to have dogs in my life. When my husband and I bought our first home together we knew a dog was missing from our lives, so we added Kosmo to our family!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT WORKING WITH DOGS?
The best part about working with dogs in my opinion is how they can always boost your spirits and put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you are having. Their ability to give their people unconditional love is the best feeling.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO WORK WITH DOGS?
I love dogs and always have! Once I got introduced into boarding I completely fell in love with providing this service. I love being able to care for someones pet while they are away and treat them with the same love and attention that they receive in their home. Boarding has given me the opportunity to meet new breeds, get to know dog behaviours and traits, and meet new friends along the way.  I work from home for a living, so I am always there to provide my boarders with cuddles or to play fetch and play with my dog Kosmo in our fully fenced yard.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE BREED?
I love working with all types of breeds and mixes, but I have always had a soft spot for Golden Retrievers!
WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU IDENTIFY MOST WITH?
I would identify most with a dog because my personality is extroverted and friendly!
