WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL DOG EXPERIENCE?
I started my dog grooming career back in 2019 and quickly discovered that it was my passion! I have been learning and growing in this industry(and loving it!) ever since. I also have a few years of experience working in dog daycares as a daycare attendant and have assisted in some training classes as well
WHO ARE YOUR PET(S), AND WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONALITIES?
Nook is a 7 year old Siberian Husky, she loves going for long winter walks and we cannot keep her out of the water in the summer! She is definitely the ruler of the house the queen bee if you will! Loki is a 6 year old Standard Red Merle Australian Shepherd he is my old soul. He would never even hurt a fly, he’s the most gentle dog I have ever met. His best friend is our cat Annie! Vinho is a 2 year old Dalmatian. His favourite things are definitely annoying his older siblings - which he is very good at! He also absolutely loves to go swimming and run free on the farm with his doggy cousins!
WHEN DID YOUR LOVE OF DOGS BEGIN?
Before I can remember. When I was very young I had fallen in love with my uncles boxer. I’ve been told she was our "nanny dog" and would never let us out of her sight. My family always said “if you can’t find, her she’s with the dogs”.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT WORKING WITH DOGS?
Growing relationships and friendships with all the dogs is one of my favourite parts of the job. Seeing how excited they get when they see you is such a rewarding feeling!
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO WORK WITH DOGS?
I’ve been around dogs so much during my life I always knew that one day they would have something to do with my career, but wasn’t sure how. I started doing my own dogs nails and giving them baths and found it so therapeutic. Fast forward to when I got my first pair of grooming shears and the rest is history!
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE BREED?
Without a doubt Dalmatians and Huskies! I just love their personalities and their drive. They are always ready for a full day of walking and running!
WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU IDENTIFY MOST WITH?
I feel like I identify most with the wolf because I do great in a team setting, but can also thrive solo!
